Following are instructions on how to make the stock pipes on your Shadow
sound bad ass. These pics were taken by Menace when we modified my bike on 8/7/03.
It's an extremely easy mod, but sometimes it helps to see it for yourself. We had about
$35 in parts (hole saw & adapter) and 20 minutes or so invested. Results are LOUD.
Hope it helps someone. BB

Step 1: Buy a 2 1/8" Bi Metal Hole Saw. Make sure that the well is deep enough to give clearance for the resonator tip. |

Step 2: Drill out the weld around the baffles. NOTE: Be careful, I almost snapped my forearm like a dry twig a couple times. Let the saw do the work & keep steady pressure. |

Step 3: You'll feel it in the drill when you break through. Again, be prepared for a lockup. Grab a pair of pliers and start yanking the resonator out. |

Step 4: Do the same thing on the other pipe (or act like your forearm is hurting & let your buddy do it...) Fire up your new, louder bike and piss the neighbors off....!
We'll post some sound bites of the holesaw mod bike.
