Aftermarket Headlight - Sleek\Clean Routing of Wires

Guys,

I have removed my stock headlight mount and mounted my Wave headlight to the bottom tree.

I am having some aesthetic issues with the way my wiring is routed, simpy put I dont like the way I have routed the wiring. Doesn't look clean enough for me.

For those that have an aftermarket headlight, could you please snap some pics of the way you routed your wiring? I am in need oif some clean sleek looks.

Cheers!

Are you talking about that mess of wires and connectors they had in the stock headlight? If so most people stuff all that under the tank. Doesn't look like it will fit but it will.

Nope not the "mess", they have already been tucked neatly under the tank. I am talking about the 3 wires for the headlight.

Just wants some ideas, for example:

- Braided cover
- Shrink Tube

etc etc...

And also where they have been routed through...

I will post a pic soon of how my setup is currently.

Think "firefighter 212" has same headlight. Check out his gallery, whole bike looks good and clean.

Checked it out and the bike def looks great! Noticed that he has routed all cables behind the trees (this has now been added to my mod list).

As for the wiring of the light, I can't actually see it up close, pixel deficiency

Hey Jibba. I did my wiring up with black electrical tape. I'd like to clean it all up a bit this year when I get a chance.

Here's a link to a gallery I have online. If you hold your cursor over the pic on the right you can click on "original" to get the full size. Then you can zoom in for a look at the wiring.

I removed the connectors out of that fat plastic fitted plug for the stocker headlight and taped up the ends after making the connections directly to the wiring I put ends on for my CobraII. cuts down tremendously on the mass. Then I tucked it like Bubba using: http://cableorganizer.com/woven-wrap/ Roundit® 2000 Woven Wrap-Around Sleeving. bought about a foot of it, straightened out the wiring into a long hot dog shaped loop and wrapped it and tucked it. I'll post pictures after work today if I can get out to my bike.

Bubbanezz,

Thanks for that. Mine are routed through the left side if you look at the bike from the front. I have also removed the original clip and installed smaller individual clips which I didn't stagger hence why it is bulky. I may cut them out and just solder the bastards together. This will eliminate the bulkiness at least.

By the way, your bike looks gun!

CrzyJoey,

Can't see the pic. At work so it may be blocking it. I will take a look tonight. Thanks for the info man!
