Took a ride on a Harley today

I took my cousions 08 Harley out for about an hour today. Funny thing is i don't even know what kind of Harley it was. Not a bagger, it's a bare bones bike thats not any bigger than my ss750 except for the rims and a 1600cc motor. Talk about some power. From a stop i beat two rockets off the line to 70 by about 3 bike links. After that they just pulled away. rolling in 2nd you can drop the hammer and it will burn the tire down till you let up. I did this about 10-15 times today-Blast!!
I love my ss but it would be nice to have all that power sometimes. No matter what, i'm stickin with my ss.
Just thought i'd share todays nonsence.

It probably was a Super Glide......My friend I work with has one and it hauls ass.I do enjoy riding it,what I like the most is the 18" apes.I do have another friend that has a VTX 1800 that will smoke the Super Glide like its sittin still......

well fuck...it sounds like you owe him a new tire. when i like to blaze like hell i ride my old mans vtx...they kick ass!

Bad thing is that im not as hard on it as he is. 1,200 miles on a new bike and already needs a new tire.

There is no replacement for displacement. Bigger bike will get more foot pounds of torque to the rear tire. That is why I traded in my SS. I loved it, but I wanted more power.
