My superviser just bought a 2002 ACE with custom pipes . However the prevous owner did not rejet . I was wondering what jets [cobra\dyna stage 1 ] people were using with the stock intake ? I may do a rejet for him . Thank you .

Sin,
That'd be an #1183 jet kit. Depending on what the "custom pipes" are, whether baffled or not, will determine what jets to use. They say baffled 102 front and 106 rear, or for unbaffled use 106 front and 110 rear. Here's a link to the instruction sheet for the 1183 kit:
http://www.dynojet.com/pdf/1183.pdf

If his pipes are Cobra pipes, then he'll want to use the 92-1271 Cobra jet kit. Since the Cobra kit is different, he'll need to follow their instructions for rejetting. If the pipes are not Cobra's, don't use the Cobra kit. They don't work as well with other pipes, only the Cobra's. Here's a link to their instructions:

Hey thanks . Any idea on needle position ? Same? I think they might be cobras . The plugs have not been drilled out for fuel air mix . His head pipes have turned gold . Like I said he bought used and know little about the bike . It sounded lean so I offered to rejet for free if he bought the parts . The stealer is asking 150 bucks plus parts .

Sin,
You can't hardly go wrong with using the recommendations from Dynojet. Even with the Cobra kit, it's Dynojet's recommendations. The main thing to remember is use Cobra jet kit for Cobra pipes, Dynojet for all other brands.
Both recommend using the 2nd groove from the top, that's where I'd put the clip. The Dynojet engineers have spent countless hours trying all sorts of combinations and configurations on the dynomometer to determine the best jet/needle combination for the bike it fits in. They say their kits will work from sea level to 3000 ft. above sea level. If the bike is ridden at elevations above 1500 ft., I'd jet towards the lean side(the smaller jets, clip closer to the top). If you're below 1500 ft., their recommendations are the closest you'll get to perfect.
