Razor,
According to my source, which I don't put much stock in 'cause I've found many discrepancies, it has 45 HP at 5500RPM and 46.5 ft./lbs. at 3000 RPM. Look for yourself at this link:

I believe that anybody can make entries, and the info can be bogus. I saw some pics of 750 Magna's listed under VT750's, so it's probably not too accurate. I seem to remember someone on the old site or over on HondaShadow.net saying they had their stock 750 Spirit dynoed and the rear wheel HP was 39. That's probably fairly accurate considering the advertised HP would be crankshaft HP. Whatever the HP actually is, it's gonna be in the low 40's.

I think you are right . 39-43 depending on tuning . With the dp mods you can get 65-70 ! Around 85% more power ! With a stage 3 jet kit , open intake and pipes I would guess low 50's high 40's . I was a solid jump .

When considering hp - wieght is also important . Our bike is only 500 lbs . Many HD's are well over 900lbs . A VTX 1800 is over 800 . All that wieght takes away the hp-to wieght ratio . A hp jump on a light bike like the 750 is far more noticeable do to its light weight .
