hey i just bought my first bike. its a 95 shadow 1100 and it has a little over 95k on the clock. i was hoping it would get me through the summer then i could rebuild it. im an automotive tech and i dont think it will be too hard. my question is: is ther a rebuild kit somewhere for this motor? or atleast like a gasket kit or bearing kit? i dont want to do anything crazy to it, just hone, re-ring, new bearings and gaskets. hopefully the bores are in ok shape but, if not is there like a big bore kit out there? also how about the tranny, any rebuild kits for those? ive never rebuilt a trans but im taking a drivetrain class in about a week so by the time i get around to it ill have a few under my belt. i really like the look of the bike and id hate to have to "retire" it because of high miles.
