As I come out of a corner I see a gravel truck in the other lane and a pickup passing it in my lane no where to go but the middle of the road. Both trucks went to the side and I went right between them. :sweatdrop

My scariest ride was when I first bought my bike and rode from my house into my parents driveway!

BBWWWHHHAAAA!!!!!! I was just kidding . I was on my CBR doing 70 behind a 18 wheeler . It blew a recap and a 3' section hit me it the face . It felt like some one hit me in the head with a baseball bat . I did not dump the bike but I pulled over and laid down on the edge of they hiway for about an hour until the little birdies in my head went away .

I have many. Most recently I had the opportunity to test the integrity of the top of a water cooler....plastic if you will....scared the krap out of me....tried to steer clear...but I was on the superslab doin' 80+ and the front end and rear end lost traction simultaneously (according to the pucker factor) and the front end changed direction without my control. You guys wouldn't understand unless you've experienced it...but it really was my worst feeling to date on the machine.

I nearly shit my pants about a month ago while riding up a typical four lane road. A car was in the median making a u turn up ahead...still pointed in the same direction that I was...I was in the right lane, doing about 40 or so. As I passed this car, I heard an impact, and a sport bike and rider sailed past me, skidding and bouncing all over the road, finally crossing in front of me. I slammed on my brakes, managed to keep the bike upright...I thought I was actually watching this fucker die....but as his luck had it, he had the full face on and ended up with some major road rash and a fucked up knee. What happened? I think he was going to pass me and gunned the throttle too much (Bandit 1200) and hit the rear end of the car in the median...hit him hard enough to flatten the car's right rear tire and fuck up the right rear fender. He must've been doin' about 70-80 when he hit the car. That guy is one lucky fuck...so am I. Had I been ten feet farther down the road, he would've taken me out for sure. Asshole....

We were in the left turn lane, we had the green arrow. There was a car coming up slowly to his red light. In the middle of the turn, our arrow turned yellow. Before his light turned green he started speeding up... coming right at us!! Already half way in the turn, I hit the brakes & locked up the back tire & started skidding sideways! Later M@Man said "Nice maneuver, Babe!" I was just trying to keep from kissing his bumper & keeping it all vertical. We pulled over & I smoked a cigarette in about 2 minutes flat. :smoking:

I wasn't worried, he would have hit me first. The little prick behind the wheel made eye contact with me. I was pissed enough to seriously consider gunnin' my bike to slam it into the side of his car. (one example of why the experienced rider takes the lead) However, I just cleaned my bike and didn't want to scratch it. I heard C@ lock em up, and I saw her slide, I was impressed with the fact that she didn't lay it down. Not bad for a noob, but I did explain to her that you can brake more effectively if you don't lock up your tires. I'm just glad she didn't do what I did when I first started riding....(segway)
It had rained and the roads were still wet, I had to stop suddendly and locked up my back tire. That was it, the bike went down and the next thing I knew I was surfin' a sliding bike...that is until it hit a pothole and flipped me up in the air. I have no idea how I did it, but I did a summer sault and landed on my feet, right infront of a truck that was screeching to a hault. The first thing I thought of, was the bike...any damage? No..good, started right up, and I got the hell outta there. Ego bruised (I was leaving work so lot's of folks saw it too) but still in tact. Lesson learned.
