YEAH - I CHECKED THE FUCKING SEARCH! :shocked2:

I had some truly one off turn signals/running lights on my 2001 Aero 1100. A buddy got them from Germany and they were very bright. Problem is they were billet aluminum covers that screwed onto brass with no gaskets. Result - one rattled off.

Anyway - I had to mod the hell out of my factory assembly to make those work.

I have ordered another factory assembly (you have no idea how painful that was to do) but I can not leave that ugly azz obnoxious set up on my bike.

I have ordered a lighted tag frame and am fabbing a new set up to fit in the factory "dent" so I can mount my own set up.

Unfortunately - no shops have their turn signals set up, like a stereo shop, so you can "see" how they look aside from an appearance standpoint.

I want style but I definitely want FUNCTION also!

I know ya'll are the most moddingest muthafuckas around - and I lurk on several boards.

What are the brightest lights that look good...and do I have to get any kind of diode or capacitor type set up also.

Please help me with this - It hurt bad enough actually ordering that horrendous factory set up - don't make me have to look at it too!! :sick2:

I just put on Kuryakyn LED silver bullets on front and back - they're bright - definitley brighter than stock (but, of course, smaller). I dont' think anyone has trouble seeing them.

Any LED signal will require a load equalizer, but the kuryakyns come with.

I appreciate the info. I have been looking at a bunch in mags and on the shelf but it is hard to tell what the lights do when they are in "operation."

I saw a guy get hit by and SUV from behind and he lost his life wrapped up in the fender well behind the tire. :furious3: :greysick:

May not be able to prevent getting in an accident like that - but I dam sure want to make sure I was "seen".

Thanks - David

The biggest problem with LED's is daylight hours. They also have a limited angle of view so unless you are within it's view angle it may not seem bright.
I've got run/turn lights from Joker Machine and have them wired as turn/brake lights. My sidemount has a bright LED light as well. Hopefully between the two of them people will see me stopping and turning. I know the turn lights on them are very bright. Just the running lights as brake aren't that bright during the daytime.
