also anyone who has changed the light what did you do with the wires that went in it?

Put them under the tank. It took me a few tries and a few hundred zip ties but I finally got everything situated under there and got the tank to slide on easily. I think the only reason I had trouble though was because I also had some extra wiring from doing my turn signals and the internal wiring on my apes. Most people don't have much trouble hiding them though.

Sounds like the universal process. I did the same, used about a hundred zip ties and hid them under the tank. Just don't get impatient and try to force the tank on with wires in the way as i almost did, Good luck.
