to me, it's not really Van Halen unless it's all 4 originals.
that's when they were the best. all though i must say that when Hagar was with them, they put out a few good tunes as well.
who really cares about eddie's son ( wolfgang )... he was just a dirty thought when van halen was popular anyway.

Would have been heaps cheaper to visit a year or two ago.
Our dollars are nearly even.
About 90 cents AUS to $1US. Where as a year or 2 ago 60cents AUS to $1US dollar
Makes it heaps cheaper for us to visit USA now.
Its also makes bike parts a fair bit cheaper to buy online. But the postage price is still a killer.....

Grew up in Bethany, Oklahoma (Oklahoma City suburb). Hit the road when I was 17, traveled around Texas mostly, the big cites, and ended up down here where my dad is from, the Rio Grande Valley, which is composed of a lot of small / mid sized towns all in a long line along the border, down here way south of San Antonio and Corpus. Hotter than hell down here 6 months out of the year (100's), hell it was 102 yesterday in September.
But winter times are nice, in December and January I can ride any day, highs around the 70's, if it gets real cold, gets down in the 60's.

I remember one of our biggest rivals in football was Moore, the Moore Lions I think it was. I played ball for Putnam City West Patriots.
Good ol days, playing Moore, Norman, etc

Born in Refugio, Tx (down by Brownsville) but didn't stay there long - then to Corpus for a year and from there to Houston, Tx (Clear Lake City) until '86. CG took me from there to Miami, New Smyrna Bch, Jacksonville, and back to Miami for duty stations - Currently reside in Hollywood, Fl. about half way between Miami and Ft Lauderdale. Fuckin' expensive to live here but the fishing (both fresh and salt water) kicks ass and a ride down to the Keys or across the state on SR 41 is really nice either in a cage or on the bikes...
Swampy out.........:drink: Got some family left in Lexington Ky btw - not bike folks but still family - cousins etc.I was in the Dariy Queen in Refugio when these 2 old snowbirds from Michigan came in. Asked the Mexican girl behind the counter "What is the proper pronunciation of this place" The girl said "DAR RE QUEEN" I about spit my shake all over my wife. :grin3: Im from Victoria by the way.

Slapout, AL where we drink, hunt, fish, and play in the mud. Been there my whole life except when Uncle Sam pays for me to take a vacation. It's about 20-25 miles north of Montgomery. The town is actually called Deatsville but more people know it by Slapout. If you've ever been there you've been somewhere in your life but don't blink when you ride through or you'll miss it.
