I saw this on another forum:

In reading some of the oil-related and maintenance threads lately (including my own oil-question thread), it appears there's a great need for tech info for a lot of us. I'm not sure if a lot of the newer Honda owners are aware of it, but Honda offers a FREE website that includes complete specs, maintenance intervals, downloadable maintenance procedures, etc. for our bikes. It's called Owner Link and the website is at www.ahm-ownerlink.com (http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/)

Just go there, create an account, enter in your VIN and a perfect picture of your specific model will pop up - in the correct color scheme too! Along with that, there's a wealth of info - maintenance schedule, maintenance procedures for CHECKING and changing oil, seat removal, air filter servicing, coolant level check, and final drive oil and spark plug changing. There is an appearance care section and any recalls for your model can be found there too.

I'm not sure if there's a lot there that isn't already in the owners manual, but if you bought used like I did, you may not have the original owners manual. There's even a section there where you can order owners and service manuals specifically for you model.

Check it out!

Cool! It even had my 86 VT700C listed, and I learned that it was originally red.
Great link there, Corps! :thumb:

Great info Corpse! I was looking for VLX manual few days ago and found this website as well.

Here's another link which has exploded diagrams of all parts in our bike (all Honda). They show code number & also genuine part numbers for ordering. Check this out:

Canadian VIN, American site.....you would think with a site like that it wouldn't matter, but I guess it's too hard for them to load the extra VIN's. At least you can still use the site without entering a VIN#.

That's cool! I don't have an owners manual since I bought my bike used, I knew that awful travelcade seat wasn't stock. The damn thing was a bit to small & it was so hard to sit on during long rides :annoyed: .

Thanks for posting this site. Since I bought a used bike with no owners manual it has really helped me out.:jamming:
