$400 is a pretty good price, IMO. The jacket I used with the YZF ran around $500 and the pants another couple hundred.

Spending money on safety equipment should be just as important as a piece of upgraded equipment. You might not ever need a solid jacket or helmet, but you absolutely don't need another piece of chrome ;)

Looks kinda cool, but knowin' my dumb ass I'd forget to disengage the cable when I got off my bike. I'd probably go through 2 or 3 co2 cartriges a week. :heh_heh:

You're totally right about the safety equipment...If i'm ever sliding across the pavement because some dipshit pulled out in front of me, i'm gonna be pissed that i bought that new piece of chrome instead!!

well just fyi, they usually have a built in accelerometer that will only release the CO2 in the event the pin is pulled at a high rate of speed. my friend's parents sell these kinds of jackets at their shop, and have been ever since they first came to the states. they are really cool, and i can't see not having one. i'm in need of a new jacket, i've kinda outgrown my old one. but 400 bucks for that kind of peace of mind? beyond worth it in my opinion!!!

I saw evil kinevil on a commercial on speedchannel showing this off a few years ago, it may have been a different company, but the same idea.

Seems like you would bounce instead of slide, I guess it would be good for an impact though.
