I found a 2003 vt1100 Sabre Absolutely spotless with 3,500 miles. It's red w/ black flames. What would you offer for it at a dealership.

5400 Sounds High. What are they asking for it?

They are asking 54, then offered 48. Average retail according to nada is 5260. Im trying to get below 48 Like I said, it's untouched. Like it's brand new.

They gave a bit more on the price, so I bought. Kinda nice for stock, eh?

Not bad at all really. I havent seen them go for much more than that from a private buyer either.

Thanks My other bike is a 83'. 20 yrs. of technology really shows. Since I wasn't trading and I put cash on the table, they were willing to deal a bit. I refuse to worry about dinging it. I want to ride. I'll double the mileage in no time. I'd like to get a sissy bar on the back for my wife. I hope Honda makes a bolt on. I'm still working on re-arranging the garage to get in and out easy.

i've got that prob too man! w/ one project bike, parts, tools (and now possibly ANOTHER project bike coming in!) laying everywhere in my garage, there's hardly room to park the bike i ride!
nice buy on the sabre, my best friend's dad rides one and loves it. did you get that same red paint job?

My bike projects have to share with my son's car projects. There isn't room for another thing. The lawnmowers just went out back. No room. I cleared out a space so nothing can get near them and threw a blanket over it. Lots of stuff needs to hit the dumpster anyway. The bike is exactly as the picture I posted. Candy red with black flames. Runs nice, handles well, very quiet. (Some might not care for quiet. lol)

No worries on bolt ons - lots of stuff available. We had an 1100 when we first came back to riding and loved it. We only traded to buy a more comfortable ride for long hauls.
Know what you mean about technology changing. Bones' Valkyrie turned 10 this year...while it's still cherry there are some things that could be updated. He looks at my bike and "Why didn't they?!?..." LOL
