He leaves tomorrow with some friends and I'm flying down Friday night.

Just got back about an hour ago. Matt finished the national season in the #2 position.

He was 6th (near crash), 2nd, 1st in the qualifying rounds, 3rd in the quarter finals, 2nd in the semi's and got boxed in pretty bad (I think it was planned buy some of the riders) in the first turn and finished 6th in the main. But because some of the other kids didn't make the cut he finished #2 in the country in his class. :thumbsup: Not too bad for a kid who started doing this less than 14 months ago.

We head to Vermont in 2 weeks for the state championships and the to Camp Woodward (extreme sports camp) in three weeks for the regional championships.

Dirtwarrior. I was so damn busy trying to track his points and see where he was sitting in the standings I forgot to call. Sorry. But we'll be there next year.

Those guys were crazy back in the 1800s, people died in some of those races.
