Still don't have the lights hooked up and want to seal some of the gaps a little better, but otherwise it's pretty much good to go. They came with the lights, prewired and with locking key's, $175 shipped to my door.

took my "usefull" front windshield off. I usually am just zipping around town and wear a helmet.......I think the bike looks much better without it.
Next up will be installing some clear turn signals I got in the mail yesterday

i would like to get hard bags that i can take on and off, but the problem i have is that i have a side mount light and tag. i would have to remove that all the time and thats not worth it......
bags look good for the price too. did u paint them up ( how do they get shipped to you ), and is there a quick disconnect on the lights incase you want to remove the bags...

I'm not a fan of saddle bags, but I goota say that those look good from the rear. They flow well with the rear fender. Good choice.

Those are the side opening bags arent they?
Ive been thinking about those myself, right now Im wearing a backpack when I need to carry anything. Its hot, uncomfortable, then I have to carry the thing around all the time.
Ive heard that there are problems keeping the lids closed on those. Let us know if thats the case.
I would need to paint mine, does it look like they are easy to disassemble for paint?
Looks good.

One more question, can those lights be wired to use as tail lights, or do they have to be turn signals?

Mic - they came prepainted, last I checked you could get them in white as well. I had to hook up the lights myself (which I haven't done yet) and I plan on making a quick disconnet for it.
Olpan - thanks. Have to say I'm not a big fan of bags but they seemed a good fit.
Lizard- yeah they are side opening. It's a key'd lock I don't think there will be a ton of problems, but I'll let you know. Would be simple to paint and you can get them in white as well so paint would be easy. I got tired of the backpack thing too. Most of my trips were for small things like blockbuster video, or my lunch bag so this will eleminate that problem. It's not the strongest by any means in my opinion but the plastic should give a little if bumped and I liked the look and lights that were built in.
As for the lights, you have to do the wiring from bags to bike so you could wire them to your brake lights instead of tail lights. You could get them with clear lenses with yellow leds or you could get them with red lenses so if you wanted them as break lights it would be easy. I actually asked for red and they sent the wrong ones, but, once I looked at it I thought it looked good so I just kept them.
Razor - sorry for the mix up, we have talked about getting those done too, but the bike and car has to be done first...........if she doesn't like it I can always trade in the old fun bags for a set of new ones!
