I have a set of silver bullets to put on my ss750. i bought chrom P clamps to mount them. the bolts for the bullets are 3/8 and they won't fit through the holes on the P clamps. Any ideas?

AFF & Smoke, what is it with Firefighters and wanting to burn things to fix them?
You would think that you would want to promote fire safety. :headscrat
This poor guy is gonna set his bike on fire with that advice.
What I would do is tap it in gently with a sledge hammer.
No really, I think AFF is on the right track with the 3/8 drill bit suggestion.

What can I say, we're good at destroying things too. On Extreme Makeover Home Edition tonight it took 40 minutes for the Kansas City Fire Dept to destroy a house so ABC could build a new one! :fireman:

Dood  , you rub them off with sandpaper.
The blowtorch is for cleaning out your carbs and gas tank. :wink_2:

Seems almost too simple. But I would also suggest taping the edges to help prevent scratching/ chipping, do not use a lot of pressure, go slow, use a wood block as a backing surface.

If I use a 3/8 drill bit will it chip the chrome?

It shouldn't if you tape over both sides of the hole. Use a scrap of wood as a backer block. Go slow and don't apply a lot of pressure, let the bit do the work

Hey thanks what kid of tape is best to use? Will masking tape work, or should i use duct tape instead?

Masking tape is fine. When you remove the tape pull it towards the center of the hole, not from the hole to the outside edge. That way you won't pull the plating off.

Lubricate the bit while you are drilling as well. A little oil will help the process

the problem here isa that you got the wrong lights to use with the P-clamps.
The clamps are designed to be used with the 5/16-18 bolts. Kuryakyn part#2303

Drag specialties has a few different clamps, one should fit your lights. Check the size before you buy next time.
