I had placed my bike in a trader magazine for sell. I wanted a sport bike at the time. Then I found out the wife was pregnant. So, I decided not sell and keep it, so as not too start all over with payments, tag and such. Then I got too thinking. I am going to have another little rugrat running around in 9 months and the extra money I am spending on the bike would come in handy. The bike had been in the magazine for two weeks and I got the one and only phone call today. I explained to the interested buyer the same thing I just said too you guys. I really don't want to get rid of it, but sometimes you gotta sacrifice some things. I know I will be able to get something else in a few years after all the diapers and formula, but not having one at my disposal when I want it is going to suck. What I said probably doesn't matter too much to ya'll, I'm just ranting is all. If the guy says he will give me what i want I will more than likely let it go. My father-in-law has a 1997 Vulcan 800 I can ride when I want, so I can always use it to get my fix.

You know what Purp...if you sell, you'll hate yourself in the morning, not to mention every time you look at you new babys face you'll see your scooter and resent em...and to top it all off, the money you get today for your bike will be gone tomorrow, just like your bike and somehow you'll get by with no bike and no money from the sale...so with that being said ... keep the fuckin' bike, don't resent the kid and get by with what you have and not with what you think you need....How's that for sage advice???

Well, I have made my decision based on a couple of things. First, a groupd of us rode about 60 miles to a bar where they have a bike night every Wednesday. The ride itself down there pretty much had me sold on keeping it. Then, when we showed up, I parked out in the open all by myslef. An old guy pulled up on a customized out the wazoo harley and parked right next too me. I was standing there drinking my beer when I over heard him talking to another guy. He was asking if he knew who owned the Honda and was saying how clean and good looking it was. I was standing maybe 8 feet from him and he had to point in my direction to point at the bike when asking who's it was. I proudly pionted out it was mine and he told me it was one of the best looking 1300's he had seen in awhile. He liked the fact that there wasn't a whole bunch of shit done too it and said to just keep it simple if I ever did anything else too it. I had a big shit eating grin the rest of the night and that did it for me. I told the prospecive buyer that was looking at it that it was no longer for sell.
