I've seen some nice pics of the cut rear fender on this forum.
Has anyone cut their rear fender to make it like a sharp point, or does everyone cut it straight across?
Any recommendations on how to cut it? Did you guys repaint it?
Please post pics of those beautiful cut fenders!!!

Yea that's from her. They are great over there. I had them make one for Susan too, but I don't think she's very thrilled with it.

Mask it with tape and then mark it. Dremel will work, as it's only plastic. Cut slow and 'inside' your lines. You can't add back material if you make a mistake. You will have a grey edge after the cut and it'll be rough. Sanding and smoothing is required. You can use this to fine tune your cuts. I had to repaint mine, I guess you could leave it if you wanted to.
Cutting is as brave as you want to get with it.

Here's a pic to give you an idea of what the cut will look like unpainted.

Hey Rusty
Just wondering what you used to get the edge that clean. I cut mine today and have worked the edge with a dremel sanding bit but it looks nothing like that. Comon Man Hook a brother Up! Wuz your Secret? :sign you

Smooth stone on the dremel after the cut to start and then just went to sandpaper after that. Going to a really fine for a finish.
The original cut looks pretty crappy, like there's fibres in the plastic resin.

That looks incredible. You must have one steady hand to make those cuts.
I cut my rear light and turn signal assembly off over the weekend, and it looks much better already. Now I am trying to design a template for cutting the rear fender. This may be interesting...
