why doesn't anybody ever post here? i ride everyday and still check the forums...

i finally made my new seat pan... covered it with a layer of foam and some black vinyl... looked better than it felt, so i added some more foam and recovered it.. now it's pretty cushiony... can't wait to get my new trailer fender and taillight/turn signals...

if i got rid of the stock airbox, do you think there would be enough room to run the rear cylinder exhaust through the frame? guess i'd have to figure out where to put the electrical stuff, huh?

Hi barley. I was gonna be my normal asshole self, but decided not to.

The main reason nobody is posting here is that there aren't alot of guys on here with classic Shadows. There are a couple, that's why Menace put this section here. If you know guys with older Shadows, get their butts on here.

How about some pics in your gallery of your bike?

What do you ride? You may have mentioned it, but I don't feel like going through all of your posts right now to see. Maybe tomorrow.

Take it easy.

Jimmy V.

Nice bike. A budy of mine had one like that. Got rid of it this year and bought a V-strom.

I'm a noob here and I have a classic shadow, mostly stock for now. I bought it 7/1 and put 1000 miles on it riding to work daily, so not much time for mods.

I know those are Jardeen pipes, probably not jetted properly, cause i back fire like a mother fucker! The bags are Honda from the dealer, they all have the Honda logo stamped in them. I ripped off the passenger sissy bar after this photo below. It makes the bike look several inches lower. I added an ugly bag to the handle bars to hide my garage door remote.

Next for me is tires, these are dry rotted, I'm thinkin of doing 120 up front and 200 rear, Metz 880's, grease the splines while the wheel is off. Carb work will be this weekend, get them balanced and jetted properly.

I do love my metz's - be careful bumping up to a 120 on the front - I went from a 100 stock to 110 on my 88 vt800 and it rubbed and blistered the fender paint - on my bike at least, there was way less clearance on the front - I'm not saying it won't work for you (different bike, different size and brand of tires), but I just want to give you the heads up.

Well the vt1100 has a 110 stock and there is lots of room in there. Does anyone else have a vt1100 86-89 with a >110 up front? What about a 200 rear? I saw the post by TheDaveness. (http://www.shadowriders.net/forums/showthread.php?t=7456)
