Guys with the billet grips with the 3 allen screws. Did you guys also put grip glue for some extra grip or just run with the 3 screws holding the grips and thats it ?

Thanks

Yes, use grip glue...unless the grip is really, really tight, it will just turn on the sleeve...might affect your throttle response :dizzy:

If I'm not mistaken you have the Mapam grips correct? I have the same grips. I just used the 3 set screws without glue. Haven't had any problems.

Yes Gunny you were right on the money on the shout box, The set screws were too snug and hanging it up. Everything looks and works good now..

I figured that was the problem. I ran into the same issue.

It was the 2nd problem. Routeing the cable was a bitch and kept on hanging up. had to reroute and adjust for 30mins and finally got them smooth. Then the grip hung up and it was the set screws..

After everything was said and done the billet grips and rerouteing the cables behind the bars was way worth it. Try to get some pics up soon.

Here are some pics showing the new Billet grips, Rerouted cables front end, new Corbin Stinger seat and Progressive 412 shocks. Only thing left to install is the Progressive front lowering kit. Hopefully do that Thursday.
