Our group will be taking off from Hometown Buffett at 10:30 for Salem. Yes, Salem will be the Destination of the Oregon Motorcycle Awareness day. You might also check out ABATE's website as I think they are the ones who sponsor this. But happy to have you along riding with our group when we leave at 10:30.
TRR meeting for breakfast 8:30 to 10:00 then leaving parking lot at 10:30AM
As far as Oregon 500. Don't know where to meet but think first bike out is 8:00AM
I will see if I can find where this leaves from. Have a friend who is riding in that one.

If the weather is looking dry there and back, I will be at hometown at about 8:00am.
Right now it looks like rain until about 3:00pm.

Not a problem. I did look for you. Remember your family come first. Hope your children are feeling better. There will be other rides. We have a ride coming up June 11th. The Starlight Run. 5-7PM. Starts at Action Motorsports on Stark St. Trying to get together a short weekday eve ride sometime in next two weeks. Maybe for dinner somewhere.

Sorry, nope won't be there. Going to North Dakota May 28th and back to Portland on June 10th. Moving family there. Two families are moving there. Taking 5 vehicles and trailering bike there to ride back. Going to Sturgis and Yellowstone on way home.
So you have a LOUD bike. Yes both of you would have enjoyed Salem. By the way, I melted my rain gear to my pipes on The Dalles Cherry Festival run. I rode today and will most likely ride tomorrow also.
Talk Soon....

Just so I don't feel left out. I will be riding in the Minot Bug and Shine run. Have talked to a few from CruiserCustomize.com and they say the bugs are thick and the wind is a blowing. I hate riding with the wind blowing sideways. Better to ride into it.
So you guys want anything from Sturgis.

Damn I wish I was going with you. I am from North Dakota and Have a lot of family there. I wonder why anybody would move FROM Oregon TO ND. From paradise to HELL! It is just nasty there. 12 feet of snow in the winter, 100+ in the summer, MUGGY, Skeeters as big as Robins.... Wow, Flat dusty tumble weeds, and that is at the river!
Sounds like a great trip coming home!

Oh I hope the Skeeters are not that big. Don't know how long my windshield might last. Anyway, my wife's parents are moving there to retire early and middle son and family are there. They moved there 6 years ago to try find better adjusted living style. They are doing quite well now.
So the parents purchsed a house in Carbury with cash. They will be listing Gresham home within couple of week's. The younger brother and wife are moving there because he thinks he has a better chance of making a go of it there and has now purchased and owns a home outright, sight unseen that his brother found for him. Is leaving a company here and has no job to go to back there except a possible coaching job with grade school that might pay $100-200 per month. Won't have a house payment but also has not had one here for last year or so because they moved in with his parents to try to save money to buy propery somewhere in Clack. County. I think they are going to struggle there still and again depend on the parents for help.
Sounds like they may be going from bad to worse. But Oh Well. NO We are not Moving to N.D. For all it's faults, Oregon is just a great state to live in. Multnomah County is ALL MESSED UP... Time to move to another County.

For all it's faults, Oregon is just a great state to live in. Multnomah County is ALL MESSED UP... Time to move to another County.AMEN BROTHA!
I have lived in Multnomah County for the last 37 years and am getting so fed up with the stupidity.
I grew up in No Po around Interstate and Lombard. Lived there till 4 years ago when I moved to Gresham. Wife born and raised at about 27th and Killingsworth, moved to No Po when we got married.
We have had our share of the stupidity of Portland Public Schools and Multnomah County. Yet we stay, "May I have another, SIR?!"
I would not mind a move to Happy Valley or there abouts. Out, but not gone..

Out, But not gone. It is not for a lack of brains that we stay. Fishing is good and usually have 4 seasons. Good riding weather most of the time. N.D. had snow again this Last Week. Think I will check out www.sturgislive.com and see how alive the town is right now. To take long johns or not, heated handle grips I will not buy. Another property in N.D. being offered for 8,000.00 Lapine or south on 97 Loooks more appealing more of the time. Don't know if I can survive a couple more years in Mult. Co..... I am ready for Gresham to join Clackamas County. I would vote for it.
