Well, I figured that since I've come back for a little visit, I thought I'd post this link. My friends little daughter had a boating accident. Before anyone asks, they do not drink or do drugs. It was truly a horrible accident. I will post the newspaper article as well as the blogspot. They need positive energy sent their way.
My friends are Christine and Orien. Their daughter is named Orien-Rose.
Peace,
Susan

Wow, what a story. I hope all continues to improve for the recovery process. And what a brave girl to take control of the boat and save them. Amazing, I wish them all the best. They must have had someone watching over them because it very easily could have become much worse very quickly.

Thoughts are with them....

Thank you. Christine is healing through writing her blogs. Check them out. It's long reading but it's worth it. They havent been home since the accident. Needless to say neither of them have gone to work.

Holy shit! That's my neck of the woods! Middletown is about 1/2 hour away!

She must be at Hasbro Children's Hospital. Maybe I should stop in and say hi in person. Prayers definately go out to them.

I started reading the blog. I had to stop, I was getting too choked up reading about the accident. I looked at the pics too. She's adorable. i like the one where she's totally covered in mud. Looks like a very happy little girl. Hopefully she'll be back to that soon.

It's a small world ain't it?

I was just telling my girlfriend about it and kept getting choked up telling her the story. I absolutely hate hearing about kids getting hurt.

I will. And if I can squeeze some time in, I'll try to swing by there. I'll actually be driving right by it on my way down to the GF's beach house Friday after work.

Holy hell! That put a lump in my throat. I can't imagine being in that situation with my little girl. As I read I was praying that it didn't turn for the worse. I gotta tell you, I was relieved when I read she's recovering.

I spent 26 years in the Coast Guard, much of the time doing rescue work.

Thank God they were wearing life jackets. Ive seen to many stupid parents putting thier young kids in jeopardy on boats withoput any safety equipment.

Its nice to see a happy ending for a change.

She'll be leaving the hospital tomorrow morning!

One of the local news channels interviewed her too: http://www.turnto10.com/northeast/jar/news.apx.-content-articles-JAR-2007-06-18-0022.html

this is so sad...... it sickens me to death, when ever i hear anything happens to children. they are so precious, and don't understand sometimes what is happening to them. it is a parents job to protect thier children, and when u can't u feel so helpless. gosh that little girl looks so much like my daughter saege, and i just got the biggest chill up my spine. please let her and her family know that my prayers are with them.
