I was just wondering if there was a book that showed you what parts would exchange with what bikes. It would make it easier when searching for something and know if a sissy bar off a 2000 Honda Shadow 1100 would fit a 2005 Aero 750.

Now that would take the fun out of it! There are no books that I know of.

The only thing I can think of is comparing part numbers between the two.

I don't know for sure, but they should fit. It looks like they're the same part, but who knows. I think the only difference is the brackets that attach to the rear fender/frame.

Corpsegrinder, Edit your post and delete the link. I deleted his post. Maybe that's the last we hear from him

Boy that was mighty bright of me to quote him!

Thanks for straightening me out!

I deleted his and was like, do I just delete his post or ask him to edit it??? :uneasy: I figured you would just edit it.

No biggie thanks, if you see any more crap like that start showing up let someone know and we'll try to get rid of it as it happens. The Magna Riders Forums was getting hammered a few months back with crap like that.

That was his first post with a link? I think that was a spam bot.

I saw ya on the sig forum. They gonna make ya a nice lil sig? That Katie is a sweetheart. She made me 4 sigs and all I wanted was 1!

If the user becomes a problem, Menace can ban his IP address or anyone that continues to spam

No reason right now. It was only one post. We'll see where it goes, maybe it was just a Ninja attack :undecided

Good job AFF :thumb: I couldn't do anything with it, my moderator powers are only for my area of the board. (Not complaining, I'm happy with it that way) I figured one of you would edit or delete it. I've seen other forums get hit with 'spamembers', but usually they say stuff like "I found your website usefull" or something like that. We've been lucky with the band's forum (crossing fingers and knockin' on wood)...so far. Hopefully this is an isolated incident.

Now back to the topic, what a great idea :idea2: Who's gonna write that book? :dunno:
I know I would find it useful, hell I'd use the **** out of it. :laugh4:

Internet forums are going to be your best bet when looking for compatability....many have installed parts from other machines and are ready and willing to offer advice. Also, the manufacturer may offer advice on any modifications you'd need to adapt their product.....Maybe you could produce the first book!

Hey, I just had a thought :idea2:
That could be a new thread over in "Bike Discussion / Shop Talk"..."Compatable Parts"
Folks can list parts they have used from other models. It's a thought, maybe some way to organize it though, it could get cluttered. :dunno:

It's there. Have at it  I did add a couple of stipulations, but I think it's a great idea.
