Did you buy new Bridgstones or replace them? If you replaced them, what did you get instead?

I bought the Bridgestones...I heard it's good to keep the same brand of tire. I like the way they handle on wet roads , seems like this town has a need to work on every damn street I happen upon!:furious2:

Ah, the classic tire debate. Personally I prefer Metzeler's

This is my first bike, so I have nothing to compare to. Mine came with the Bridgestones but I've heard people complain about them. I hear a lot about the Metz's and Avons. The Avons look pretty cool to me. But looks really don't factor into my tire decisions, though the tread on the Bridgestones look pretty cool anyway.

I swap my stock Dunlop with Bridgestone as well, front and rear. They are great so far on wet & dry condition. :jamming:
On my previous small sport bike I could push it to the limit andstill feel safe on high speed turn or hard braking.
However, I just heard about this rear tire, a Shinko YSR 230 ( formerly known as Yokohama). It is said that Shinko's providing just as good or better grip then brand name tires like Bridgstone, Pirelli, Michelin, Dunflop, and Metz and at much better price, $78.47 (for VLX rear if I'm not wrong). It provides great wet and dry traction, awesome strait line traction, very long wear and a good ride/control does not wander or follow road lines. they are the recommended street and drag tire for the back of the Hayabusa, known for eating up back tires quickly.

For the front tire I heard so far the best one is Bridgestone Spitfire.

:furious3: I've been hearing a strange noise when I ride so I looked at my bike & found they hadn't tightened the bolts to my chain guard! I'm so pissed & disappointed in the workmanship, looks like I'll be calling them this morning! !!:mfight:

Don't forget to check the stripes marking above your wheel axle bolts, make sure that left & right bolts are at the same position, utherwise your wheel will not run straight.
