I got the idea from someone on this site, it actually worked out beautiful. What I did was take a set of inner fork tubes out of a v-65 magna as they are 4" longer and exactly the same diameter. I took mine apart and swapped the inner fork tubes, springs, washers, spacers, inner bottom locks and bolts. I then added 15 ounces of fork oil into each tube and then installed the top cap bolts from the magna which look good as they are chromed. I had to order longer brake hoses and new fittings. After putting it all back together the side stand was to short to hold the bike so I used the center stand which was also to short but did the job temporarily. I took off the side stand cut it in half just below the spring bracket and welded in a 3" piece of round bar. Its now the right length for the bike. I am looking for a speedo cable about 4" longer and it will be complete. Next is a set of after market handle bars and then some paint if I can save up the coin for it. As soon as the weather warms I will take some new pics to post. cccccruise onnnn!!!! I love my shadow even if she is 22yrs old.

For the longer speedo cable, just cut the top connector off a few inches in and splice some extra wire in. Buying a whole new cable isn't necessary IMO.

Just curious if anyone has heard of any good modifications for a 1998 Spirit 1100. I have already jetted, replaced the exhaust, and put a K & N filter is mine but was wondering if there was anything else such as a hyper charger with snorkle that anyone might have found for this model.
