Did you get new crush gaskets for your pipes? Does the hypercharger come with a jet kit, or are you getting that from someone as well?
Don't want to see you get your new toys without having the supplies to finish the job. You will definitely need to rejet for the hyper and the exhaust. You may get away with your old crush gaskets. But for the few $$ they are, order a set and change them. If you have a spirit the part number should be 18291-MM8-880 for the gaskets.

More than likely. They tend to disintegrate while taking the pipes off.

It's just a peace of mind thing. You may get away with re-using them, but for the cost of them, I'd replace them. Especially seeing you are rejetting and installing a diaperchanger. :assbeat: If you decide not to change them, do the pipes first and ensure there are no air leaks or problems with the bike before you go on to the rejet and hyper. New gaskets will also keep you from over torquing your exhaust studs. They are just hollow copper gaskets that crush under pressure so even a new bike they will be crushed in there. They have to be pryed out with a screwdriver.

The hole will be on the back side of the Hyper casing. It will not really be seen. Its for the hose that goes to the carbs to pressurize the fuel bowls. I can't remember but it might already have the hole in it. I know it comes with the fitting in the kit.
I had mine installed by someone else last summer, but now wished I would have tried it myself. Didn't look to hard once you get in there and would have saved me about $120 bucks!!!! If I can be of any help "if you try to do it yourself", just holler!!!

What are the signs that your pipes arent seated well ? I have always read " you'll know " . That is not very descirptive . I put on my new pipes and did not change out my crush gaskets .

You'll know meaning that you will either hear a leak or experience performance issues such as popping on decel.
The reason, I'm assuming, that the gaskets are tubular shaped is to offset any alignment issues that a "non-perfect" mounting to the frame would present. Meaning if the mating surface of the pipe wasn't parallel to the head the gasket would compensate when properly torqued.
I've reused gaskets in the past - sometimes you luck out.

I don't think I would hear a leak with my burbs [ way to loud ] . I have always had popping on decele . Stock .

Even if you had a decel pop with a new machine it dosen't mean that all is kosher. If you've learned to live with it...well that'is another issue.
If you are going to wrench it yourself you'll have to be able to distinguish between what sounds normal and what doesn't irregardless of the pipe installed. If the exhaust is deafening ....well...you'll just have to wait to there's a nice carbon deposit around the port to give you the tale-tell sign.
Nevertheless, one method I practice when installing OR reinstalling new or original pipes is to LOOSELY fasten the frame bolts just to keep the ass-end in check, then torque the pipe to the head. After that I check the clearance between the mounting brackets on both the frame and muffler and add any washers/spacers I see fit that would prevent the pipes from drawing up or introducing any unwarranted stress on the head bolts. OK?

Hey Sinister...have you ever adjusted you idle screws?
I was reading the mod on http://sa750.com (http://sa750.com/) and it stated that the screws are supposed to be set at the factory, but alot of the times they are not. Some have even been turned all the way in.
I was just curious. I haven't checked mine, but I think I will sometime this weekend.

I did . I was lean in all circuts when I rejetted . I fixed the idle mix and I don't kill it in the top of the gears [ 50 in second gear ]. I might change jets one size up but it rides well if I am not to mean to her .

I'm still getting some exess poping on decel, so I'm thinkin' I may have to go one size up too.
A little poping is ok, but I'm getting a little more than I'd like. I think I uderestimated the amount of airflow that I'm getting with my "hypercharger" mod.
Thanx,
