Hi people,

Got my bike March 3, 2007. It's a 2007 Shadow Spirit shaft drive model. It is not my first bike, however it is my first cruiser. Previously, I owned a Ninja 250, a 600F4i, and a 600RR. I was destined to get myself in WAYY too much trouble, so after the birth of my son in January, I picked up my Shadow. I was referred to this site by one of your members, and I hope to find lots of good info here, as well as the camraderie I have normally associated with motorcycle ownership and riding. Cheers!

-Chris

Maybe you can direct me as to where I can find some forwards for the bike. Also, according to my dealer, there are multiple accessories available including pipes, footboars with heel/toe shifter, saddlebags, risers, etc etc...

I just installed a set of forward controls on our 07 750C2. I bought them from Bikertoyz, they have some on ebay for other bikes, and I emailed them.
They were a Mapam's $350.00 + shipping. They fit perfect, and look great. I'll get some pics tomorrow. I forgot, and have to move cars, bikes to get it out.

That would look real sweet with the licence plate chopped off and moved to a side mount, then stick the 200 on the back...

that thing looks just like my aero minus the front end and the rear fender you should go to the dealer and compare the diferences side by side as far as the frame goes and if they are the same frame you could get the shit for the aero and bolt it on theres quite a bit of stuff for the aero

Actually I got it from being in and working with the military for the past 10 years. Wanna hear something funny? I'm an ordained minister too! No shit!

ok, so first things first, reflectors and stickers gotta go. tear em all off man! don't think a lowering kit is possible the way that your shocks are mounted, so to lower the ass, you'd have to get shorter shocks (progressives are the bomb).
looks like the spirit 750 fork extensions would work. spirit specific bars would prob be compatible.
grips and mirrors are widely available from shitloads of manufacturers and are mostly universal for metric makes.
the holesaw mod (until they make pipes for it and until you can afford em) would prob give you a little better sound.
the bean box mod and vtx mod would prob both work too.
don't think there's a fender eliminator yet, but will be soon i'm sure.
turn sigs are also widely available and there are no issues of compatibility. same w/ passenger pegs (and def get the mapam forwards, they're great!).
stainless steel braided brake lines and cables are a great upgrade.
you got your work ahead of you man....just like i told jnor, be the guy that paves the way for future C2 owners and go all the way!
fuckoffnoob.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am going to be putting a set of Cobra pipes on it soon, since I found out they now make them for my bike. Kurayakan grips and mirrors are up next, and then I am going to eliminate the license bracket on the back. I plan to do a custom tail light (made from LED's) and some lo-pro turn signals too. Of course, this is all over the next 1-2 years since my wife won't let me spend all that money at once. I like the idea of the braided brake lines too. I am not so sure I am going to lower it though, she likes to ride on it with me and with my fat ass and her skinny ass on there, lowering seems to be a bad idea. Anyway, thanks for the input. And, you fuck off first, and then I will. :D

EDIT: Mapam's are too fucking expensive, I am going to fabricate my own forwards from 1/2" aluminum stock. The neighbor's a welder, so he can help me too.
