Well, there are kits to bore a HD 883 to a 1200, so it's roughly the same displacement differential. I would say that: yes it is possible, but you might have a hard time finding pistons and rods to work together. Im not sure the pistons from the 1100 would work on the 750 rods, or the 1100 rods on the 750 crank.

Aw fuck it...just drop a Evo in the frame and be done with it.

On a harley you cant just bore them out to a 1200 you got to replace the jugs along with pistons and rods. so id say its a definent nope

No that is wrong! You can just bore them and use 1200 pistons on stock 883 rods. I did this on my 883 with Patrick cams... If you want to go all out and have a 100hp bike. You run Buel jugs and high compression pistons on the 883 bottom end. The Buel jugs are ported....

i'd say that you would have to do some comparrisons on length of throw for the connecting rods to see how much longer they may be on the 1100. also, is there a difference in the with of the main bearing journals, there may not be clearance for this either. best advise, contact a bike machine shop or dragster builder. they would probably have blueprinted specs on a variety of engine possiblities.

I would say that is a no brainer about changing the pistons... seeing as you are going from a roughly 440 CC to a 600 CC displacement on the same draw of the rod.... gotta make up that volume somewhere....

alright, so i guess the concensus is maybe. do you think with some clever welding an 1100 engine could fit in a 750 frame?

Definitely... Any Engine Change Is Possible... If There's A Will...there's A Way!!!

but cost wise, how bad will it hurt?

ok i don't know if it's true or not i haven't seen the bike since he went to Korea, but one of my friends i work with had a 750 ace he took it to colorado to leave it at his dad's so it wouldn't be just sittin and get used, and someone stole it from his dads drive way, the bike fell of the back of a truck and somehow it survived but one of the jugs got fucked and a couple other things i guess enough to not totaled it, anyways he came back to this base and i asked him where his bike was he told me what had happened and that the dealer replaced everything but he had them install 1100's jugs with the 750 bottom end, i looked at him in disbelieve and he assured me it was true and he had no fittment issues, he ended up selling it to his dad, i told him he should go up there and bring it down for a couple of weeks and he's thinking about it, i'm gonna keep tryin to convince him just because i wanna see how it all fits together i'll post pics if he brings it down

BULL SHIT!

I promise you that it CANNOT be done! The 750 engine is a 52 degree V twin and the 1100 is a 45 degree engine. The 750 can be bored out some, how much I don't know, but nothing will interchange between the two engines.

Like phop5 stated, Designed Performance is the only outlet for increasing the performance of a 750 beyond the Stage 3 set-up. DP claims to get you around 60 HP at the rear wheel with all their mods, but it'll cost you at least $3000 for the parts and labor. Pretty expensive horsepower! Unless you really don't like the looks of any of the 1100's, but want the power of an 1100, DP can accommodate you. Otherwise, your best bet is to just buy an 1100.

i know about the difference in their design, thats why i said i gave him the you're a liar look, but he still insisted and i've been tryin to get him to ride it down but he still says he don't really wants to ride anymore, so i'll keep giving him shit, until he admits it or at least brings me some kind of proof

no offense to anyone's ride but i really dont like the look of the shadow 1100. i'd rather spend 10 grand boosting up the HP on my ace 750 than ride around on an 1100. it's just me and my preferences
