:help: ok..been here for awhile but I am still a noob as to owning a bike so I need some advice from you guys with more time.
My shadow aero acording to honda has a 3.9 gal fuel tank and a .9 reserve, I have never been able to put that much fuel in the bike yet. is there something that I dont know, I do fill up with the pitcock in the on position, I do know about the dont fill up in reserve rule, I do hate that the bike does not have a gas gage, or tack but love it all the same.
The other question is I get about 135 miles or so to a take before I feel that I need to stop for fuel, is this normal, am I getting the right amount of miles out of the bike, or what.
And finally, is there a over flow tube on the bike due to cali emisons rules? I have filled the bike up to the top of the neck twice now trying to get it filled up like it should, and when its on the stand after that fuel leaks out of the middle tube at the bottom of the bike? Is this normal or should I take it in to the steeler to be checked out? Everything else runs fine, and it only has 1400 or so miles on it so far.
Thanks guys and gals for the help.

Id have to look at the manual, but I think its a 3.9 including the reserve.
I always try not to fill up the neck in the tank.Just an old practice. The same for your car.I think your fine, but Im no expert.
I stopped worrying about fuel mileage after the tornado, and stage 3 kit! lol :wink_2:

The milage sounds about right. The leaking is coming from your vent tube, so no worries there.

Same here, about 130 miles to a tank. I wish it were bigger, I hate to worry about runnin out on long trips.

I wish the tank was larger also, I want to try to take some long trips, I guess I will have to just plan more gas stops.

I wish the tank was larger also, I want to try to take some long trips, I guess I will have to just plan more gas stops. When I ride with my older brother, he is on a Goldwing and can do almost 1 tank to 3 of mine! It sucks. Maybe a retrofit is in the future...

Yes the gas station stops are several campared to a Wing. My bike has 3.6 plus +.6 reserve. Gets about 125 to 140 then reserve. I have been wondering what to do to increase gas and have heard pipes only increase horsepower, so you use the throttle less.
My friends with the Wings get around 200 to 250 per tank.
Does anyone know anything about adding a gas gauge to the ACE shadows.

yea..gas capacity does sorta suck, my friend on his ST1300 gets about 200 on 7 gallons, I wish there was a fuel gage also, dont know of one for any of the 750 cc bikes from honda, and I have looked about everywhere, unless you change the tank of course.
