I am pretty sure that I'll be in the enduro race tomorrow, we're on our way to the track in bout 3 hours, once I get out of work. There are already 50-75 cars in line for starting position/pit passes. It's assumed that there will be 200+ cars on the track at one time and I think it's only a 3/8 mile circle! This is my first race ever and the first race we'll have this car in. Hope I last and hope the car does too!:thumbsup:

Well my lady ended up feeling better and to get practice laps in for the big cars this coming weekend, she ran. She got 18th, 96 entered. The entry for us together was $65, fuel was $40 (hauler and racecar), food was about $20 and we won $150 for the 18'th finish. So we had a blast of a weekend and it paid for itself and then some. Her dad's girlfriend ran a new enduro car that her dad bought, she ended up 12th , with the winnings of $225 and got a $100 bonus for being the top finishing female.

Our car did alright, it needs new tires (at least two outside ones) a brake was hanging up, we need new shift linkages and the gas tank/lines leak a bit. Everything is workable and the car is worth fixin up, but I'm ready to build my own. I've got a '90 Vdub Jetta that's mildly built with a mean cam, it runs like a raped ape and I'm definately ready to put a cage in it and rag the shit out of it.

Well we might be selling her big car now, to prepare for the baby. I think we'll still run the enduros occasionally and her dad will still be running in the outlaw late models, so we'll be there occasionally. Not as much as planned though. She's pretty bummed, this is an awesome car but we will just have to build another one some day...

dude dont sell the car, you both will be sorry for it. just cover it for now, and dont use it. Dont spend any money on it,let it sit. later you can show it to your kid, ...

There will definately be another car for next season, racing is in her blood! We can build another one, that's what her family does.:jamming:
