My auto shop teacher let me do pretty much anything I wanted, we had 5 hoists and an alignment rack, I had a vehicle in the air for two solid years playing with it bit by bit. He never minded, I sometimes would stay after school for 5-6 hours a night to work on projects with him. Some for him, some for me. I did all the fabrication and welding on anyone's projects, he didn't even want to weld his own stuff. It was pretty cool, the only part of school I miss.
