I come her to talk about bikes and general bullshit. If I wanted to see porn I'd put in a DVD or go to one of the millions of web sites for it. I have absolutely no problem with T & A, but I think a little restraint and common sense needs to be used.
Instead of saying, "well, if you don't like it don't look at it." that's the standard answer for people who want their way but have no other justification.

This is a bike site and it has a porn section, what level of porn is acceptable isn't up to me to decide. It's up to Menace or the people that frequent this site.

These two things are being abused and really serve no purpose on here other then status. If you feel good about having 200-600 posts with one or two words, good for you. But are you serving a purpose here? Threads get hi-jacked, it's the nature of a forum. But to put a section in a forum just so people can pad their post count doesn't seem productive to me. I'd rather have 1 post that is helpful then 200 that are useless.

Some of the good members we had aren't here anymore, these were the guys that were/are moderators and contributed on a regular basis. Their absence comes in the same timeline that some of this crap started.....you do the math.

I know I am the Admin here and I spend most of my time updating the forum software and making sure things are running smooth. I try to keep current backups and add things that you all suggest to make this a better place. Because I am busy behind the scenes here and miss lots of posts I let the moderators do their job and use their judgement on what stays or gets removed etc..... If anyone thinks we need a change or has an idea let me know or we can even do a poll and let everyone decide.

The Seinfeld thread was asinine. If we get rid of the post counts, stupid stuff like that would become obsolete. It was a joke that was taken way too far and was light years beyond funny.I was going to lock the thread, but M@man did it, but I did delete it.

I was also going to delete the "porn of the day" thread but then I'm the heavy. It's a fine line to walk. Get rid of something that I find inappropriate on this site for the sake of a few or let it run it's course and risk looking like a slacker and not giving a crap.

I don't see this as a real censorship question. I haven't seen anyone say someone can't post something. I think with all groups, boundries are set for what is considered appropriate behavior for that group. That seems like what is happening here, the boundries are being talked about and set. I'm not saying a bunch of rules that have to be followed to a "T". More just people knowing what to expect from each other. I would hope in the end what is left is a stronger forum with no hard feelings.
