This was a fun day at work. :laugh: Testing the new foam system in the Marines hanger.

The guy in the blue shirt in the last pic is one of our Captains. He managed to weasle out of all the work. So we sent him back to the station to get us something to drink. He's out version of the ladies auxillary. :laugh2:

It's gonna be a blast when they do the hanger for the C-5's This hanger is only for a c-130

Man I hope I had that much fun at work.... but i suppose that for the guy making the cleanup it wasnt that much fun!

We cleaned it up. Brought one of these trucks in through the back entry of the hanger and flushed it out. The bubbles break down in less than 24hrs with no residue.
Yes, it's specifically for hanger fires. The system has to cover 90% of the area that would be occupied by an aircraft in 1 minute or less. The foam is designed to smother the fire by removing Oxygen and it also cools it to some degree.
