Now that that's out of the way...

I had all my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday! I am a freak, there were 5!!!

So my cheeks are all swollen and I have to eat soft foods and liquids! I didn't even get vicoden out of the deal!

I got last night and tonight off work, so I get to spend an actual friday night with my lady, that's nice for a change!

Fuck that, i juust spen 18.000 on my crowns, well insurance paid 12 and i am out of 6.000, that shit cost money, so no mods for a certain time, hope you feel better mic.

No vicodin? I thought that was the only reason for getting wisdom teeth pulled.

When I got mine out one of them was growing forward into another tooth, so they had to dig it out. My cheeks were swollen for 2 weeks, the stitches kept breaking and my mouth would fill with blood. Luckily, the Dr. gave me pain meds, so I was ok with it all.

On a side note, we are hosting a foreign exchange student, last weekend he got his cheekbone fractured in a basketball game. The Dr. prescribed an antibiotic and vicodin. I gave him the bottle of antibiotics and told him to make sure he takes one every six hours. Then I gave him the vicodin and said, "These are not for you to play with, they're for ME to play with." He laughed and poured 5 of them into my hand.
Last Sunday was a very nice, relaxing day. Tomorrow may be the same.

I think you should thank your dentist for not givin' you anything for pain ...this way he's given you an opportunity to pay attention to your pain and explore the physical sensations....

3 of the 5 were impacted, none were surfaced, they had to cut/break/drill every one to get them out!

nope, just 2. My upper right side the big one was shaped like a bean or elbow macaroni, the extra was inside the curve. They said I have a freak mouth.:thumbsdow

Have Army dentists pull your wisdom teeth. Nothing for pain and you can't do shit to them if they fuck up. They accidentally nicked my gums while trying to cut one of my wisdoms in 1/2. And they didn't sew up the holes or anything. Just left them wide open and told me I'm done. I never went back to get the other side done. ;)

OUCH!!! I've heard of Doc's that don't sew up the holes. Wassup wit dat???

My bottom ones aren't sewed up, just the top.. I have a huge plastic syringe to pressure wash the holes out every time I eat, until they heal... I guess so you can rinse any bacteria buildup out and so the stitches can't hold that shit in. Yep, it sucks.:thumbsdow

Ouch! I went through that with my wisdom teeth many moons ago. Not fun and I didn't get pain meds either.

I had a tooth extracted a little over a year ago and they didn't sew it up either. Just don't "suck" on anything until that heals!!! You think you hurt now, get a dry socket. The woman next to me did and you should have heard her scream when they packet the socket with meds to heal it. :stunned:

Feelin ok, takin less pain drugs, almost done with the antibiotics... With less drugs in me I have more energy... I rode the bike yesterday and today, and my cheeks fit in the helmet with all the padding in it still! Last Saturday I rode a snowmobile for a while and had to take the cheek pads out so my face would fit the helmet!


Here at work I do quite a bit of talking between different department managers asking for parts, so it tends to hurt more at work then at home.:thumbsdow But I'll survive.... And yes I'm limiting my sucking until it's all better :crazy3:
