Maltese Cross Mirrors Installation

Hey guys......I ordered some maltese cross mirrors from ebay......they where supposed to be able to fit my bike.....but i went to put them on this morning and the mirror screw is smaller than the opening in the bike what do i do....send them back or is there a way to fix it so it fits.......thanks

Sounds like you got Harley screws . You need adaptors . They should have sent some if you told them they would be used for metric .

In this listing you will see the the adaptors you need and get the dimentions you will need . I do not know were to buy them . Mine came with the mirrors . You may also have gotten the wrong metric adaptors .

You should be able to get some adapters from your local stealer.
I think I have a pair in the garage somewhere, I'll look around. I didn't need em for mine when I bought my mirrors, if I can find them I'll give 'em to ya. I'll PM you and let you know if I find them or not.

With your mirrors, did you buy the metric to standard adapter???? If not, you may need to look at that before you proceed.
Check out Phatperformanceparts (http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=Mirror_Adapters) or any of the other dealers for them. Your local bike shop should have them too.

Well consider yourself lucky you at least you got the mirrors. I ordered mine about 4 months ago and still haven't recieved them yet and no one will respond to my emails. :sasmokin: :rifle:

I bought them on Nov 28 04. I have been lax in following up on it until I saw your link. Now I would like to know what happened!

I have seen that kind of negative feedback on his profile . I got mine in a couple of weeks . I think my mirrors are factory seconds . I think I got a fair price . I would not say they were perfect . Just miner teeny tiny flaws . You have to look for them . If I hade a 70k chop I would have sent them back and offered to pay more for a perfect set . I got mine for 40 bucks .

those are cool mirrors but I wonder if the divider makes it hard to see.

Schweeet . I like . You will have to say what the look like at speed . Mine work , but the size makes you spend more time looking around for things and less time looking forward . :idea2:

AS FOR A GOOD REAR VIEW MIRROR THEY FUCKING SUCK YOU CAN NOT SEE SHIT.
BUT DOES NOT REALLY MATTER TO ME I GOT THEM JUST FOR LOOKS.
so dude its up to you if you want to sacrafice rearviewing for "looks"
