Prayers for Tiny

Tiny had a colonoscopy this morning and they found colon cancer. They took him into surgery. They removed a bunch of polips and a large tumor. He is resting and will be in the hospital for about a week. He could sure use some prayers sent his way.

Sorry for ruining your night, smoke. It has really rocked my world. Not really sure if he is going to need chemo or not. It has been brought up. I am going to go see him in a little while. I will report back. They had to remove a lot of intestine from what I understand, so hopefully, they got it all. He's a very strong man, and way too stubborn to let this get him.

I will relay the messages to him.

I spent most of the day with Tiny and his wife at the hospital. He is in very good spirits. Even did some picking on each other. Good to see he didn't lose his sense of humor! Have to wait til Wed. for the lymph node tests to come back. Hopefully, it didn't spread. They will probably have to do some radiation and chemo anyway. He's a very tough man and a very good friend. Your prayers are appreciated!

Oh my god, that's so horrible I can't even imagine. I'm not usually a praying kind of person, but lately I think I've changed my mind and I now how lots to pray for myself. I will send one out for Tiny as well. I hope he beats this and it stays away, I'm sure he knows all his partners in crime at Shadowriders are thinking of him.

Several of his family members have had this so he figured he would have to go through this some day. He says he doesn't have to worry about taking it up the ass anymore!

My wireless adaptor gave up before I printed this today, although I told him about it. He was amuzed. He should be out of the hospital in 3 or 4 days and will be online so you can chat with him.

First thanks to all you for the kind words and prayers etc. As pegs related they discovered a nasty tumor in my colon and at first they thought they could cut it out and do a resection, but the tumor was too close to the rectum so they had to sew up my asshole and put my on a permanant colostomy bag.

So I have ascended from an ASSHOLE to just an ASS.

Today I had the staples removed. Think there was close to 100 runing up and across my stomach. It was a relief to get them removed.

Sorry for not writing earlier, but with a sewn up ass it was REALLY difficult to sit in a chair for more than a couple minutes at a time. Now I am good for about 20 minutes at a time.

In two weeks I go for some special P-Scans. This will determine if and where the cancer may have spread to other areas of the body and help them determine where to apply the radition. After the tests I then have a special pump implanted under my skin. This will hold the chemo meds when injected into my body.

They expect I will need Chemo and Radiation treatment for about a 9 month period, but the technology has increased so much this last year, they say that it will not interfere with work, and I can still RIDE MY BIKE throughout the treatment.

Except for the pain of ths surgery, which is to be expected, I actually feel quite good. In fact better than I have felt in months.

I have to say the main thing is to accept it. Your mental additude toward this medical problem makes a whole lot of difference. Still praying for your health/recovery. Now for the joke part of having 2 bags. I had operation & bag for 1 year,then reversal (jpouch). After you fart in the bag you can release it any time you want. Then they know it was not you , you got a bag & could not do that .
