I just bought this DVD yesterday and watched it last night, I gotta say I was a little skeptical from the cover and even the begining of the movie I still wasn't too impressed but as it went along I became more and more glued to the ole TV. I kinda started routing for the guy in all the hardships he was facing just to get his bike to the Bonneville Salt Flats and Race. All in all it turned out to be an excellent movie about a guy that melted down metal and made his own pistons, and had the ultimate desire for speed. With the DVD you also get the original documentary on the the real " Bill Monro " and that was just as entertaining to watch. The bike was a 1920 Indian with an original top speed of 54 miles per hours !!!!!! Would you try to break a speed record on it ?
If you haven't seen it yet go out and get it, anyone who likes motorcycles will like this movie.

I saw it and like you I thought it started slow and then when he thought they wouldnt let him race I was sad. But he proved them wrong.

Excellent flick.... like you guys... I was starting to worry cuz it started out so slow... but the time spent on character development helps get you 1000% behind the guy when it comes time to make the run
