Is anybody here into independent low budget horror flicks? The kind you read about in Fangoria and Rue Morgue?

A couple of guys that graduated a year after me in high school make those kind of movies. Their company is called Morbid Vision Films. They've been into this stuff since high school. My buddy Rich has been to stunt school and does all kind of special effects makeup. We even had him do up victims for disaster drills when he was on the fire dept with us.
In the latest issue of Rue Morgue, it says that their latest film "Bone Sickness" is the goriest movie ever made. There was a scene where they were supposed to have worms coming out of their mouths. The scene took about a week to film and the worms were dead by the time they got to them. It was late at night and they couoldn't get more, so they put the dead worms in their mouths and went for it. It's pretty cool because they do the filming around here. I was supposed to play a firefighter in one of their movies but had to work, bummer. Maybe some other time.

They finally got picked up by a major distributor too.

Here's a link to a review on the movie - http://www.severed-cinema.com/reviews/abcd/bone_sickness.php

I actually have an extensive DVD collection of some of the most obscure horror movies ever made. Most are out of print now.
