Brake Light Problem

Hey guys.....i have a question....i have a bran new 2005 shadow spirit 750 but when i go to use my back break.....the damn light is staying lit once the brake is released.....is there an ajustment on the back brake lever or anything like that....i did the holesaw mod to my pipes and im kinda nervous to bring it up to the dealer because they may say that i voided my warranty.....please help....Dana

The switch for the back brake is located right next to where the pedal pivot mounts to the frame rail. There's a small spring attached to it, and an adjustment nut (black plastic) turn that nut to adjust the tension on the spring to release the switch.

personaly i would take it back to the dealer,nothing you did would have
messed it up-i dont think, but i,ve seen stranger things happen.
just my thoughts why would i put my labor into it when i could take it to the dealer and they could do the labor,not me.just make it clear that you are not
going to pay nothing cuz its still under warranty.......



oh and remember once you have touched it or messed with it,the dealer
has the right to tell you its not under warranty cuz its been tampered with.
