Check the clear pearl checkerboard on the last pic down the center of the fender. He ran it the length of the bike.

Nope, it's done. They don't make too many aftermarket parts for it since Honda stopped making them.

very nice job! The checkboard is so subtle you don't even notice it. That's the kind of stuff that makes a bike stand out. You keep looking and finding things that are done to it that way. What did you finally end up doing on your rims? I can't remember the thread from the other forum and what you decided. Looks like one color on it in the pictures, they look great the way they are now.

I left the powdercoat as it was. The two tone turned into a disaster, so I just went with the single color.

Had mine up to 105 before I realized how stupid I was being. That was before the jet kit, K & N filter and new exhaust. The bike shop up the road has Dyno night every Wed and Thurs starting next month. I gotta get it over there. Should be somewhere around 82-84 HP. Put it this way, my shift point is up near 10500. I am also considering gearing change to give it a little more top end and maybe a Dyna ignition.
Remember, the Magna has the same engine as the Honda 750 Interceptors......

Hey, I like the extinguisher idea!! His bike is pretty powerful and quick. I'm sure he's going to be bored outta his mind riding up to Americade w/me. Since I'm still new, I'm riding slow. I know my limitations and dont want to get cocky and kill myself.

Thanks Jason,
Yea the tank is a decal. Airbrushing would have been too much. It's under a shitload of clear.
I had actually found a couple sweet chrome extinguishers on ebay that could mount right to the rear shock. I do have a bell under the bike that is a small pewter fire hydrant.
The Magna's were always underrated by a lot of people because everyone wanted a v twin. That's specifically why I bought it, it can't be mistaken for a Hardley. From what I have read over the years, it can smoke any Hardley on the road except the V Rod and even that gets beaten off of the line by the Magna. I stupefied a friend of mine a year or so ago when I dusted his 750 Katana

Don't worry babe. If I get bored I'll just downshift one gear hit the gas and wait at the next underpass having a cigarette.

Oh I believe him, I was curious and looked up some specs on a Magna...wow, I had no idea.
Let me get this strait...they stoped makin' these!?!? I'd like to see one close up, if it's that impressive on paper, it must be awsome live!
In short, yeah FF, you've got a sweet bike.

The 3rd generation of the Magna has been the same from 94-03. Hopefully they stopped production in order to come out with the 4th generation.
More than likely not though. The sales were dropping because everyone wanted what amounts to a Harley clone. And with a liquid cooled 90 degree V-4 the Magna just wasn't it. People don't really look at horsepower ratings on bikes. They look at they "eye candy" aspect. I wanted a bike that was fast and could corner like a monorail. And that could NEVER be mistaken for a Harley. So that's what I got.
Wait until I get the time and money for the upgraded Dyna ignition and maybe a sprocket change. The guy that does most of the engine work for Honda V-4's, Dave Dodge, of Dodge Racing & Performance. Has an unbelievable amount of stuff for the engine. From jet kits to cams to full on race engines. Like I said these engines are from the old Interceptor sport bikes. I know the kevler clutch he makes is the best bike clutch I've ever had. The man is a God to Magna owners.
Another plus to the V4 is that there is virtually no vibration. You nail the throttle and it jumps up to about 9500-10500 rpm and hit second all you feel is acceleration. Where riding on Susan's bike, and I have found this typical of most v twins that there is a lot of vibration.
BTW the Dyno night at the local dealer doesn't start until May. I'll bring it over and see what she's got.

Not to dis anyone, but some of us who grew up gear heads of the four wheeled variety before we saw the light, do in fact look and HP and Torque when we evaluate a bike. My '83 shadow - if it ever runs again, may not be high on the HP curve, but it's not at the bottom end either. And as is always the case, the trannys and drives on cruisers aren't designed to maximize HP the way a spor bike is. I don't think any of us got Shadows for their stnding quarter mile, but they do all seem to have good HP when it counts, and they express it in torque when you pop out of he pack in atight corner.
I bet your dino test surprises you!

Believe me the early 80's Hondas are what I learned on. My 83 CB750custom was a great bike. A friend had an 85 Nighthawk 550. Quick little bike but I didn't like the handling on it. I was gonna buy an 87 SuperMagna, but the dealer told me that they were going to come out with an 1100 model again so I held off. And the 1100 never materialized.
I'm not implying that everyone goes for looks before horsepower, but that is what you see first and with many people that's what they buy for.

Ya know, the more yellow bikes I see on here the more I like. It's a sharp color. I like the F-150 in yellow. Maybe I'll get one of those and then paint the bike. $$$$$
