I'm looking for a picture of the Memphis Shades lower mounts for any one of the fork mounted shields on an Aero. I'm trying to figure out How to mount a shield on my Spirit if I mount Aero Tins on the forks. I've seen the top mounts but not the bottom mounts and so far they look like they might work.

As you probably have seen, the top mounts will work. On the bottom, there is a bracket on each side with two holes on each bracket. The Aero lower triple tree has two threaded bolts on each side that bolt down the fork cover. With the Memphis kit, you remove these bolts and put the brackets in and use the longer bolts supplied in the kit. The spirit does not have these threaded holes in the lower trees. You would have to drill and tap them. You might be able to use Memphis custom band type clamps on the lower mount. I think they have them available in a lot of sizes. You would need something like 60-70mm.

Here are the mounting instructions for the Aero.

I've seen the instructions but I am looking to drill the Spirit trees to take the Aero tins. I'm not sure if the other diffences in the Spirit will work.

I managed to see an 1100 Spirit but the lower mount mounted to the headlight/Lightbar mount.

I would say that if you are going to drill and tap the stock trees, the memphis kit for the aero would work. I would have to check if the spacing between the upper and lower trees is the same, but even if that was different, you should be able to make the kit work.

I believe the spacing is the same. So it looks like the mount uses the same bolts as the tins to mount the lower end. Does it mount above the tins or below?

Tha spirit has a bar across the back of the headlight mount that holds the turn signals aligned, that will have to get cut off.

Hmmmm... either way that might just work. Now since it's doable I need to start accumulating parts.

The mount goes above the fork covers. I think it is one 8mm and one 6mm bolt on each side. The bar has to be removed for the fork covers? I don't think it will be in the way of the windshield mounts.

The bar would have to be cut away and the Spirit's front turn signals relocated just to mount the tins. They use a sort of rubber P clamp to attach to the fork tube. The bar stabilizes them from turning on the tube or moving up or down it.
