I know I asked this before on the old site but just wondering if anyone has seen it done or has any input. I am going to do it and I have a few simple ideas about modifing the existing shifter into a clutch using a shorter cable and welding a harness on to the frame. The shifter I think I will have to mod the sproket cover. Anyways any ideas would be greatly appreaciated!!
Thanks!!
:assbeat: God I love these things!!

Adding a jockey shift to our bike can be done.Infact last year I looked into getting one put on the whole set up would cost me $150.I know nothing about motors or clutches however the guy at Tempress choppers told me any jockey shift assembely would work.

The same guy who made my seat makes jockeys to for ss750's . You can reach him at 21deluxe.com .

I did a jockey shift mod on my old xs 650 chop. I cut the splined section of a shift lever, welded it on to a 7/8 tube, (i.e. section of old handle bar) and put a mini 8 ball on it. For the clutch I bought a small brake lever assembly for a BMX bicycle. I cut the existing clutch cable down and swagged a new end on it. You could easily do something like this on the SS750, by cutting a shifter shaft down, welding 2 splined sections of some old shift levers together to make a splice for the shafts then drill a hole through the cover so the shaft will come through.

I posted a sweet one on the old site that was specific for the SS750. I'll try to dig it up and let you know.

Can't find it...try searching yahoo or something. The thing was beautiful.
The thing that's irritating is that I know that there was a pic and link on the old site.
You might want to try contacting Grandiman, I think he has one.
