i use ebay for a lot of lab equipment and it has been great. last week i ordered the first thing for my bike on it. i wasnt sure how it would be but i ordered a set of large saddle bags for my sabre and i was very happy with what they sent me. i got large all thick leather slant bags new for 40 bucks. i'll put pics up when i install them.

All I've ever bought on ebay was a cell phone and had no problems. You just need to be careful of who you deal with.

Be careful of the leather products you get on ebay. If it gets wet the dye in the leather may turn them purple. Sorry

I have bought and sold many things on Ebay and find it very useful. You do have to watch what you buy though. Of the 75+ transactions I have made(buying and selling together), I can only think of one thing that didn't really go my way. Many times I have bought things and when I changed my mind about them(or upgraded to something better), I ended up selling them for more than I paid for them. It is all how you present you item when you sell. Photos are invaluable.

I don't do stupid ebay transactions like 2 grand a pop!!! Since February, I've spent over $2500 in online payments, mainly ebay, haven't been ripped off once. I'm just careful who I give my money to, confirm large payments... Just like this forum, you have to confirm a code upon registering, with payments over 100 I make the seller respond with a certain message or something, before I send the transaction, always request tracking numbers...

for leather goods i have the advantage of knowing what to do. i was a cobbler when i was younger and learned alot about leather. if there wasnt so much money in dental lab work i would be making leather goods. but even on the high end leather dosnt make for a very good living. thanks for the warning though, i think ill test a piece of the leather and see if it needs to be stripped and redyed.

Oh by the way razor, your leather manbra should be ready in about a week.

I have never sold anything, after entering your CC and Checking info, how long does it take to verify? I've been at this SellerRegistrationRedirectAfterCompletion weblink for forever, and I have high speed internet! Is it being stupid or am I impatient?

I wish I could help, but it has been so long ago when I registered, that I don't remember. It shouldn't take too long though....especially with high speed. I love my high speed.

Seriously dude... that does not sound right. The redirect may be taking you somewhere you dont want to go. I would talk more with them before entering anything else.

Seriously dude.... that DOES NOT sound right. I would talk more wih tehm adn explain what it's doing. That redirect may be taking you somewhere you don't want to be. I would definitely not enter any more info without getting a satisfactory answer from them! They've been hacked before, and it could happen again.

Nothing important. I bought a stock tail light off ebay when I bought the dual bulb tail light, for the bracket. Today I sold that for the same price I paid, so I got the bracket and shipping free. My other current auction is some misc. rebuild parts I bought for a 366 ci big block chevy. Nothing you can use for your bike...
