No one should have to suffer being a newb twice! That is just sad.... so go ahead guys and get it out of your systems!

Last time I posted I was packing it in for the spring. Well it is back out and I came to a sad realization!

I FORGOT TO RUN THE FUEL OUT OF THE CARBS!!!

It really stinks because I believe I have gummed up junk from the fuel sitting in there all winter. On take off (if you lean into the throttle) it hesitates a moment. I was going to get an additive but the dealer said that can make things worse. If you guys or gals have a recommendation I would appreciate the help.

All in all it is good to be back! :bounce:

campbuds,
Glad to see you made it back here! Welcome once again! Sorry to hear of your misfortune! Try running some Seafoam or Chemtool B12 in a couple tanks of gas, it may just do the trick! I don't know how you could make things worse, I'd suspect the dealer wanted to help you out and remove them and clean them out for you. For a nice tidy sum! I'm a bit partial to the Chemtool, but either is a good product. I found them both on the shelf here in Ky. at Autozone. I'd think either Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts would have them in your area.

Good luck! Get out there and ride!

Brian

This is the weirdest thing, I'm reading your post and an Autozone commercial came on TV. Seriously. This is like the Twilight Zone.http://scorpius.150m.com/master/smilie/abduct.gif

Try the Chemtool, Brian recommended it to me for Susan's bike. Worked like a charm. Just drain the old fuel first and fill with new fuel and add the Chemtool and slosh it around to mix it.

BTW Thanks Brian
