Thanks, it's getting there, just need the rad cowl back now. Another week for it. We just had to reshoot the webs near the cuts and then just clear coated the fender again.

Sure, the one sticker that's been overlooked you'd have to notice!!! Quit looking at the mistakes! ;-)

I love your bike. You have a great theme and you keep it subtle. You really know how to make everything "flow". Keep up the good work! :sign you

Thanks Nav, appreciate you not noticing the 'little things'
FFslady, thanks for the compliment on my bike. Having people that own the same bike compliment it says a lot. I am really pleased with the way it's turning out. Yours is awsome, I've shown a few people the paint that you had done. I know one that is going to be going with a similar idea as yours. Colors will change as will the graphics behind the tear in the tank.
Thanks Corpsegrinder, the sigs were the last thing I purchased. I wasn't sure if I was going to go with them or not. They are nice and close to the bike, and the pattern from the side almost matches the webbing on the rims. They are supposed to be run/turn signals. But I've got them hooked up as brake/turns. My sidemount is a little low so I thought it be best to keep a brake light up high. I've got two LED's mounted under the rear fender so it 'glows' red at night on the running lights. It's just viewable from the back so I shouldn't have any issues with the law on them.

I was thinking the same thing. Damn nice looking bike and all he noticed was the sticker that was left. That is truly attention to the details.

That looks sweet. You did a nice job of making the shape of the fender flow with the web graphics. Haha I can only imagine what it took to build up the nerve the make the first cut on a fender with that good looking of a paint job !

Doh, that damn sticker......I guess I'll have to frame it to the work bench seeing it gets so much attention.
Thanks for the comps Clint.

Yeah, cutting the fender wasn't something I intended on doing, or I'd have done it last year when I had it painted. But figured I might as well go with it. We were able to use everything that was done before and just 'feather in' around the cuts. I think it turned out quite well, I was VERY worried about it when the cuts were first made.

thanks, I'm anxious to get my fender cowl back now, hopefully this weekend. That should be it for this season.
Did you get your shock done? and most importantly, did it work?

There's a couple of cut fenders on here, that's what gave me the guts to go ahead and cut mine. Without sites like this, I'm sure a few of us would have bikes a lot closer to stock.

RustyJake that's Sick bro! How'd you cut it? How'd you keep the edge round? :eek2:
Sorry we never hooked up when I was on the island. Would have been different had I been alone but I should be taking a ride out there this summer to ride with my bud in PA. We'll beer it up then!! Lucky Lager!!

LOL, I won't comment on the Lucky I might offend someone. :wiseguy: No problem, if you ride this way during the summer let me know.
We masked off the fender, mark out our cuts and use a dremel cutter to get it close and then a grinding wheel on the dremel to smooth it out. Aside from the sticker on the chain guard everyone noticed, there were a couple small details that had to be corrected. The painter did a great job on matching things up and recoating the clear. But seeing no one noticed, I think it worked out. Either that, or I'll just leave the sticker to draw everyone's attention there.

Are you painting your stock cowl? Those with the baby spiders right? Hehe.., I'm really anxious to man! It's gonna be awesome!
Yes, I got my rear shock done, thanks for askin. I put spacer to add the preload frm #7 (max. stock setting) to about #12, also add a stopper with adjustable height as you suggested. The result is perfect! Still comfortable for single riding (have to keep 20 psi) and no more problem for riding 2 ups. Maybe I shd update the thread with some pictures.
RustyJake

Excellent, glad that worked out for you. The ride's okay with the preload that high? I know mine is stiff (almost rigid) if I crank the progressives to max.
Yeah, painting up the hondaline rad cowl I had on. Baby spiders galore.....webs on the sides. It's supposed to be ready this weekend, but a have a feeling that it's a week late.

Thanks to you Glenn. Yes this preload is okay but must keep my rear tire at 20 psi. The shock is almost like rigid too when the bike is not moving, but on the road I can say it's quite comfortable and no burping for sure haha...
I can't wait to see your rad cowl!
