I took my Daughter to Bass Pro Shops Today, went looking again at some nice looking rifles i am gonna get next month, they have a display there, the OCC Bass Pro Shop Bike, i looked at the thing for a while, i totaly lost my respect for OCC, it looks like a bike that was made in Fucking China!

the paint was cool, but the quality of welds, and passion was lost!

and to think......

i want to buy a 200 thousand dollar bike i cant ride!

NO THANKS!

yeah, I saw the Airforce bike and the Snap-On bike and wasn't impressed either, There are local builders in my area that do better and I'm more impressed with the backyard bikes than all those anyway. I do like Jesse James bikes though never got to see one in person to give em a close up look though.

If you want a reasonably priced, very reliable (hasn't jammed yet with over 20,000 rounds through it) pistol.... Try the Makarov .380 (also available in 9mm)... you can usually pick them up at gun shows for about $225 to $275. These are the "preferred weapon of the KG-USEDTO-B". They often are mistakenly included in "Saturday Night Special" lists due to their relatively small size... and price tag. But they are well built, well engineered weapons. The "pre-ban" model uses a 10 round double-stack mag which not only adds 3 rounds over other similar weapons, but also adds a little "beefyness" to the grip.

Check out www.Makarov.com (http://www.Makarov.com) for more info on these!!!!:cool4:

For my money it's going to be a Ruger mini-14. I already have a name for it "Immigration Reform"

I Do guns big time.......for many years! My passion before the bike. I would recommend any of the Ruger pistols. They are good quality and one of the best deals out there! Dont pay retail on a Ruger you can find way beter prices then that. I always recommend the .40 S&W for caliber. It is a good alll around caliber. 9mm is good if you use the correct bullets, 40S&W is very consistant. Glocks are good but priced high. Good luck!

Have to agree .40 is a good round for a variety of situations. Home & personal defense as well as just a fun plinking round.

I have a few guns of my own but a favorite of mine to shoot is a .45 ParaOrdinance w/5" slide. Lots of noise and with 230 grain bullets, punch to go with it. :cool4:

Jrod, I'd definitely look around before I bought at Bass Pro - they aren't exactly the cheapest for guns. What caliber are you looking at? Bones has a .300 Win Mag that is SWEET!

i am liking the S&W .40 cal, i love the way it feels in the grip, and its not a large weapon to have on my hip, i have seen it for @ 339. is that a good price? any suggestions?

What brand are you looking at? Doesn't seem to be a bad price. Glocks are good. I like S&W, Springfield, Para's, Kimber...but I'm an expensive shopper when it comes to guns.

.40 is very easy shooting too - little to no recoil. I've shot a box of ammo through a Glock .40 in about 2 minutes. BIG FUN! I do that with my .45 and I'll have to take a little break to rest my hand :laugh4:
