So I'm leaving the post office here in town. I'm driving through the lot in the plaza to head down the street into RI and look at some Nissan Titans. I see a cop driving through the lot and wave, I graduated with him and he used to be on the FD with me. He turns his cruiser and gets right behind me. We get out on the street and he throws his lights on. I pull into a parking lot and put the car in park. He comes up to my car standing REAL close to it, and says "Afternoon sir." I lean out the window and say "Greg, what's going on?"
He looks shocked for a sec and then smiles and shakes my hand (He didn't recognize me at first with the goatee growing in.)
He proceeds to tell me that I matched the description of a suspect in an armed bank robbery that just happened right near the post office! He was mid 30's wearing a dark hat and a red shirt. Exactly what I was wearing! I asked if he had a description on the car and he said the guy took off on foot.
Needless to say I was shitting rivets until I got home. I had to go to my bank in RI, and there were cops everywhere. I thought sure they'd pull me over too.
Turns out 2 banks in my town got robbed within 30 minutes as well as two more in nearby cities. In one of them, the guy even fired a shot.
What a great afternoon.

1. I know just about all the cops here, so they'd definately be able to identify me from camera.

2. If it was me, would I wave at a cop and get his attention.

Red flannel! I ain't no redneck and it was 70 degress!

And I didn't go home either, was doing errands including going to my bank. Reason I was nervous is EP cops are over-zealous sometimes. They would have had guns drawn and everything. Found out from my buddy that Thursday one of them drove his cruiser into a ditch that his construction company had dug! :lol:

And I didn't go home either, was doing errands including going to rob my bank. Reason I was nervous is EP cops are over-zealous sometimes and I was feeling guilty. They would have had guns drawn and everything. Found out from my buddy that Thursday one of them drove his cruiser into a ditch that his construction company had dug! :lol:

Called the police station tonight. They showed surveillance pics of the two guys. The cops know one guy. They showed the video of the guy that fired a shot in the bank. My mother saw it and said it looks exactly like a stock boy that worked where she works and who got canned for stealing earlier this year.
