For anyone who hates the stock light and wants to relocate it until they buck up for another, or like myself thinks a tail light should be on the fender, the stock light assembly can be relocated under the fender. Easy steps disconnect the wiring. un-bolt the stock licenseplate bracket. (note if the bolt spins in the threaded insert in the fender you can pull it out, but more than likely will require you to remove the fender. once you've got the lamp assembly off remove the chrome bezel. you can fabricate a bracket out of thin lexan, steel, aluminum anything you can work confidently work with. (mines Al. salvaged from work. ) drill it to fit the stock lisence plate braket mounting locations and drill 2 holes to mount the light to it. install the bracket. flip the light and install. reconnnect wiring and your done. I bent a piece of Al for a side mount tag, and attached it to the rear axle bolt. I drilled the rear fender support and install a tiny light that illuminates the plate total cost about 3 bucks and 1 hour. any one that wants to do this, but not wanting to try bending up a bracket, I can make some up.
