I saw that at the beginning of summer. That is sweet. It's a tossup whether I like that or the new Challenger better.

Must be because I'm getting older...but I'm over muscle cars. Bones had a 1972 Pontiac GTO convertible when we first got married. The thing ATE gas.

Anymore, I want a little luxury when I'm tooling down the road.

This is what I have now and I'd definitely buy again...

I like both of them, but I think they are going to be over priced. I think I'd probably go for the Mopar, even though my dream car is a 69 Camaro. Those are outrageous too...I'm going asian with my next car purchase.

THE CHALLNGER I THINK IS GONNA FOR ABOUT $31,000.. BUT OF COARSE THATS
JUST THE STARTING PRICE AFTER "STANDARD OPTIONS AND ALL COULD
BE ABOUT $35 $40 EASY...

I like the shit out of both of them but once the Camaro comes out and has been out for about a year the wife said she was going to trade her Tahoe in on one, by that time my son will be out of the car seat.

I really love both of them too! The Camaro is a ways down the road?.... Any idea on production date???? I'm a chevy or Mopar man...... It's really cool to see both of those cars coming out. They have A LOT of similarities. Not boxy like the Charger.

Dodge will be out in 2008
Chev Camaro will be out in 2009. Made in the Canadian GM plant.

"Now in early March, GMHTP has finally been able to confirm that a new Chevy Camaro will start production in early 2009 as a 2010 model. While many details are still sketchy, we know that its platform will be Zeta and it's looking like the Camaro will be produced in Australia by Holden. Coupes will be built first, and convertibles will start down the assembly line less than a year later. Two engine configurations keep popping up with the word "Camaro": the 240-horse, 3.9-liter LZ8 V-6, and the 300-horse, 5.3-liter LH6 V-8. At this point, there is no word on other optional V-8 engines, but everyone knows that GM has the firepower to dust its rivals in the Ford and DC camps with 350- to 450-horse V-8 options."

From GM High-Tech Performance

RustyJake

"The all-new Camaro will begin with early production versions at the end of 2008 and will go on sale in the first quarter of 2009. “The new Camaro will be almost identical to the concept, a thoroughly modern interpretation of the 1969 model, considered by many to be the best design of the car’s first generation,” said Ed Welburn, GM's global vice president of design, who owns a 1969 Camaro SS. The front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sport coupe will feature an independent rear suspension, and will be offered in a variety of models with the choice of manual and automatic transmissions and V-6 and V-8 engines."
From the Motortrend website (http://www.motortrend.com/features/auto_news/2006/112_news060810_2009_chevy_camaro_production/)
Here's a Video of one being driven. (http://crubsandfents.wordpress.com/2006/08/15/2009-chevy-camaro-video-first-drive/)
"announced Monday morning that GM's car assembly plant in Oshawa, Ontario, will make the 2009 Chevrolet Camaro.

GM will invest $660 million to prepare Oshawa for the new Camaro and convert the plant to a flexible manufacturing facility."
Here's the article about where it'll be made from the Detroit Free Press (http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060821/NEWS99/60821014)

Yeah, becoming obsessive in regards to both the upcoming Dodge and now the Camaro. The other dream would be the Shelby GT for 2007 (http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupe/112_0505_2007_ford_mustang_shelby_gt_500/)
The news about the Camaro is fairly recent in regards to production year and plant, announced just in the past couple of weeks to the media. Lots of speculation before that.

Nice. I had heard that GM was having some problems with Canada over the plant there. That was earlier this year though. Sounds like they worked it out. I just wish we didn't have to wait so long.

I want to get a full size pick-up but with gas prices the way they are I keep going back to the Honda Ridgeline. Every time I bring my Civic in for service I'm crawling in and out of this thing.

I particularly like the in-bed trunk/cooler!

I talked to a guy at a Patriots game last year. He used to have a Ram and doesn't miss it at all.

ok, the new Camaro does not look like the old version, i still think GM needs to re design the body, Ford did a great job with the Mustang, Dodge did a great job with the Challanger, but GM,:thumbsdow on the Camaro, it looks like that big pile of shit that Cadillac has, the STS?? ithink, thats a pile of crap!:thumbsdow :thumbsdow :thumbsdow :thumbsdow

i own this truck in green
i bought it when they first came out. they came out in 2005 , but they are 2006's. i love this truck . i can pull my boat with ease, and the whole family fits in it comfortably.... they start at 29K, and top at about 39K. i got the middle of the road one. the only thing mine doesn't have is laether seats, and GPS. you have to get one to get the other. i paid 35K for mine. i add the brush guard, tow package, running boards, roof rack, and tonue cover. if you decide to get one, you won't regret it. great investment, because the re-sale on honda's are awesome. i have 27,000 miles on mine already... good luck

i'm thinking my next vehicle is the chevy ssr.
