Alright, first post, and I've got the same question as this guy... I did try the search, and yes I know how to work it, but still couldnt find that the VTX mod would work specifically on an ACE 750.. Also, I did do a brief search on this... but couldnt find anything.. What are the differences between this and the CBR rear wheel (Other than the CBR is a solid wheel and not a hub/spoke/rim setup...)


BTW. Just bought my first road bike ever, 2001 shadow ace 750, from my friend who just upgraded to a harley (stupid imho)

Its got some mods to it already, but ive got lots of ideas for it. Already has a harley front wheel (21 i think) and cobra pipes... the rear struts were replaced with solid links (havent riden it yet, so im not sure about that.. but im thinking that ill throw the struts back in) first things first, im looking to get the widest rear possible without any swingarm/drivetrain mods.

edit: i was pretty sure he said it had the HD front, however looking at the pic i have, if it does it isnt as big as most ive seen, and DEF. not a 21")

For the cost of that you could almost do a HD rear wheel swap. Surf egay for a good deal on an 18 by 5.5. Looks alot nicer and you get a rear disc brake out of the deal!

hey Sin, thanks alot man, i kind of had the impression that the rears may be the same, just wanted to hear it... and i had seen the info about doing the HD rear on a SS750, i do like the idea of the 18" as opposed to keeping the 15", and the rear disc is a plus as well.
